The \u201cSpring Picnic\u201d on the territory of Uzhhorod Skansen was organized by<\/span> the \u201cTree of My Life\u201d<\/span><\/a> and the NGO \u201c<\/span>Freedom-loving<\/span><\/a>\u201d for wounded soldiers who are being treated in hospitals in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, as well as for soldiers on rotation in Zakarpattia and veterans.<\/span><\/p>\n

– \u201cThis \u2018recreation\u2019 day was initiated by the \u2018Freedom-loving\u2019 organization,\u201d the head of the ‘Tree of My Life’, Liubov Mykhailiuk, told Varosh. \u201cThis time we managed to bring soldiers from the Mukachevo hospital, and volunteers from Mukachevo joined in. As a rule, these are guys with amputated limbs, in wheelchairs, in general, from Uzhhorod and Mukachevo, we have gathered 65 soldiers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bograch for the soldiers was prepared by veteran Anatolii Pasevych, the tour of the skansen was conducted by the head of the educational and cultural direction of the \u201cTree of My Life\u201d charity organization Tetiana Literati, and Pavlo Gudra, who heads the psychological support for the military and provided psychological support. \u201cHe organized everything to bring the guys from hospitals and gave each of them time and attention,\u201d says Liubov Mykhailiuk. \u201cThe soldiers are not from Zakarpattia, they are from different parts of Ukraine – from Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Donetsk, Kirovohrad regions – and they were interested in this vacation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students of the Uzhhorod School of Arts prepared a concert program and seminarians of the Uzhhorod Greek Catholic Academy named after Blessed Theodore Romzha performed church and Ukrainian folk songs. Everyone sang along, both the organizers and the soldiers,\u201d says Anna Demian, head of the NGO \u2018Freedom-loving\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
