Looking at our history, understanding how the Ukrainian intelligentsia was destroyed for centuries, seeing how Ukrainian theaters and all cultural heritage are being wiped off the face of the earth, and living through the daily deaths of our defenders and civilians, we realize that the future of our country and our people is in our hands.
“Book Talks ” is our response to the challenge of our time. Even in the face of the horrors we are living through, we realize that we must develop as individuals. We need to develop critical thinking, interest in history, revive traditions and learn about ourselves through the authors who share their experiences and vision through books.
It is clear that from a resource point of view, this is a great opportunity to enter another portal, another world, another dimension.
Portals to other worlds do exist. If you pick up a book, plunge into the first pages, and you have the opportunity to go anywhere.
If you love to read, you are never lonely. You always have a need to share your impressions of what you read with like-minded people.
At the “Book Talks” we talk about books that we like, admire, delight, joy, and a whirlwind of thoughts, or vice versa – make us angry, annoyed, outraged, repulsed.
We share our emotions, memories of childhood or youth books, and old and fresh thoughts about what we’ve read.
