There was an unforgettable meeting with Tetiana Literati in «The TREE of MY LIFE».
Tetiana is a journalist, researcher of the history of Uzhhorod, honorary citizen of the town, the author of the book series «The Lost Uzhhorod»
Her stories about Uzhhorod are widely read, and the books are not only given as gifts, but also collected. Copies have been traveling around the world for a long time. One can find them in Mexico, the USA, Israel, Great Britain, Portugal, Turkey and the neighbouring countries – most of all in Hungary, where many natives of Uzhhorod live.
During the years of work on the «Lost Uzhgorod» cycle, Tetiana Literati learned a lot of stories of local families. She also
heard some of them in the process of filming and editing the video project «Lost Uzhgorod», where Tatyana Literatura is an expert and host.
Pavlo Hudish, associate professor of the department of archaeology, ethnology, and cultural studies of FHIR says: «Tetiana Literati is doing an extremely important thing. She creates the so-called history from below – the history that comes from the first person. This is rather a new and popular trend in historiography – to describe not general processes or events, but the destinies of specific people. These are unique things. Not every historian can work with historical sources like she does. In my excursions, I also sometimes use personal stories written by Tanya. People are very interested in them.»
