Vasyl Husti’s poems have been set to music by S. Marton, M. Panchenko, V. Haiduk, M. Popenko, V. Telychko, S. Hyha, Zoya Slobodian, I. Kozar, P. Gotvoni, V. Tsyhanyn, P. Matii, and others.
The writer is the organizer of several cultural and educational events – “Writer to the village library, village library to the writer”, “Healing Word”, etc. He is the initiator of the Carpathian Vatra festival, which brings together poets from Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions and Ukrainian poets from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and Romania.
Vasyl Husti is one of the compilers of the anthology of short fiction “Slnko nad Karpatmi” (Kosice, 1985), the compiler of the collective collections “Ringing Spring” (1983), “Echoes” (1985), “Origins” (1988), and the anthology “Zakarpattia Poetry of the Twentieth Century” (2003).
