Interview: Ksenia Teresa Tarnavska, PhD in psychotherapy, co-author of the cultural, educational and psychological project “Tree of My Life”
In the program:
– How to be yourself in times of anxiety?
– Anxiety is the unknown
– The emotions we experience are normal in this abnormal time
How can I recognize that I have anxiety?
What do we feel on the physical level – on the body level?
What do we feel on the emotional level?
What do we feel on the behavioral level?
– The desire to control, decreased concentration, binge eating, or other eating disorders can be manifestations of anxiety.
What should I do when I feel anxious?
Why do I feel anxious?
Our brains do not recognize perceptions from reality: the brain experiences something that is not yet present or not at all at the level of the body.
We return to reality through “grounding” techniques.
In the evening: “God, I give this situation into Your hands, You purify it and return it to me blessed in the morning.” When we have no decision in the evening, the brain recovers and makes decisions after sleep.
Our life is a process of co-creation, interaction.
Changing the style of our thinking: a conscious decision at the level of action.
We teach ourselves to react differently.
When people hear that this is a normal reaction, that this is what happens to them, the tension drops.
Let’s not forget that we are now experiencing a collective trauma. We need to answer ourselves: where I am and what I can do.
Only action helps us to stay: it is about an adult position. Allow yourself to act!
